NFL Week 5 Schedule with Week 5 Betting Lines
Thursday, October 5
The Patriots continue to be favored against all of their competitors due to the fact that Tom Brady is still Tom Freaking Brady. You have to think that this defense is going to get this figured out eventually, and this could be the spot for the inevitable blowout to restate New England as the best team in the NFL by a wide margin.

On accident, someone (almost) has to get its first win of the season in the Meadowlands. Neither the Chargers nor the Giants have the look of a team that has any interest in winning anything right now.
The Bengals broke their maiden of the season last week in Cleveland, but the real story here is the Bills. How about the 3-1 Bills going on the road and beating the Dirty Birds in Hot 'Lanta in Week 4?
How on earth the Browns could possibly be worse than they were last season, yet still be favored in two games in a span of three weeks is beyond us. Even more stunning? The Jets could be 3-2 when this one is said and done with.
If the Jags that played in London show up in Pittsburgh, they can win this game and win it going away. If the Jags that played last week in New York show up in Pittsburgh, they could lose this by 40.
This line goes under the assumption that Marcus Mariota is going to play after he hurt his hamstring last week in Houston. It also assumes that Miami is going to score anything at some point before the clock strikes 0:00 in the fourth quarter.
With so many good games on tap in Week 5, these duds are inevitable. Frank Gore gets to run against his former team, but there aren't a lot of other great storylines here.
Some 2-2 teams are full of confidence that they should still make the playoffs. Some 2-2 teams are just downright lucky to still be breathing. Arizona clearly falls into the latter category.
It's hard to figure out what to make of the Panthers. They went on the road and shocked the Patriots seven days after getting destroyed at home by a New Orleans team that was destroyed at the Superdome by that same New England outfit.
Can you believe that the Rams have the best offense in the NFL – by far! Todd Gurley has been a one-man machine for this offense this year, and Sean McVey is well on his way to Coach of the Year honors. Winning this game could put LA in a position to shockingly win the NFC West.
Until we know what's up with Derek Carr's back, it's hard to stick a line on this game. The difference between Carr and Manuel is one of the biggest jumps in the NFL.
Dallas shockingly lost to LA last week, and now it has to try to avoid a second consecutive home defeat against a Green Bay team that is just trying to find some warm bodies to put in its backfield.
Both the Chiefs and Texans felt horrible enough about their quarterback positions to trade up in the NFL Draft to snare their guys. KC still doesn't need Patrick Mahomes, but the Texans are sure as heck in better shape than they've ever been in at quarterback with Deshaun Watson.
Monday, October 9
Neither Minnesota nor Chicago really knows who is going to be under center yet for MNF. Eventually, Mitch Trubisky has to get the nod with as badly as Mike Glennon has played for the Bears. And Sam Bradford's strange injury? Who knows when that's going to be settled?
