2018 Kentucky Derby Horses
Justify is unbeaten and coming off a win in the Santa Anita Derby. Justify will be bucking history, as no horse has been unraced at 2-years old and won the Kentucky Derby since Apollo in 1882. Justify is trained by Bob Baffert and ridden by Mike Smith.
Bolt d’Oro finished behind Justify in the Santa Anita Derby. The horse is trained by Mike Ruis and ridden by Victor Espinoza.
Mendelssohn will be trying to make history for trainer Aidan O’Brien. No European shipper has ever won the Derby, but Mendelssohn was very impressive in winning the UAE Derby.
