The Honey Badgers finished 10-10 and in fourth place a year ago, but they upset the regular season league champion, the Niagara River Lions in the playoff semifinals, winning 104-103.   More

The Nighthawks brought back all of their top players including Olu Famutimi who averaged 15 points per game last season.   • Betcris.com The Fraser Valley Bandits had a tough inaugural season in the Canadian Elite Basketball League, as they won just four games and finished in last place a year ago. The Bandits went 4-16 and finished six games behind Hamilton for the last playoff spot.   More

The players will return in mid-July for training camp and games will begin on July 25. The games will take place at the Meridian Center in St. Catharines, Ontario with all seven teams having a chance to win the title.
