The Golden State Warriors are the best team in the NBA when healthy. But right now, they are a long way from full strength. The Warriors have all four of their stars currently dealing with injuries which has completely shifted the NBA basketball betting odds on their current matchup. The Utah Jazz would love to take advantage by capturing a victory when these teams face off in a nationally televised matchup this week.
The Houston Rockets have been the benefactor of the Warriors’ swoon as they have stretched out a lead for the best record in the NBA. It seems like only a matter of time before Houston clinches home court advantage throughout the playoffs. It can get one step closer by taking care of business this weekend against the New Orleans Pelicans in another Western Conference showdown set for national TV.
These games are integral as all of the teams fight for seeding in the Western Conference. Let’s dig deeper into these matchups in NBA odds.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Houston Rockets TV Coverage: NBATV
The Rockets are 56-14 straight up and 37-32-1 against the spread this season. Houston has gone just 13-19-1 against the spread at home this season as it is often a heavy favorite. The Rockets are currently 3.5 games ahead of the Warriors and are much healthier, making it overwhelmingly likely that they finish with the No. 1 seed in the West.
The Pelicans are 41-30 straight up and 38-32-1 against the spread. New Orleans has done a nice job on the road this season, covering in 23 of 36 attempts in hostile territory. The Pelicans are currently sitting in fifth place in the West and could easily move up or down depending how they fare down the stretch.
Player To Watch
Anthony Davis -- The Rockets have the presumptive MVP leading the way in James Harden, but Davis might have the second-most impressive season of anyone in 2017-18. New Orleans lost star forward DeMarcus Cousins for the season early on but Davis has picked up the slack and helped his team move up the standings, not down.
Davis is averaging 28.0 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 1.4 steals per game on the season. The Rockets are the better team and Davis is going to have to dominate in order to keep the Pelicans close. Jrue Holliday is dealing with an illness, so if he can’t play even more will be placed on Davis’ shoulders.

The Rockets are the better team and are playing at home. They should be able to cruise in this one. The spread could be big despite the Pelicans boasting a winning record this season.

Utah Jazz vs. Golden State Warriors TV Coverage: NBATV
The Warriors are 53-18 straight up and 30-40-1 against the spread on the year. Golden State has been the underdog in a pair of games lately after being the favorite in every single one previously. The Warriors haven’t covered in either without many of their stars.
Utah is 40-30 straight up and 38-31-1 against the spread. The Jazz has won nine consecutive games to vault into a Western Conference playoff spots. Utah is currently sitting in the No. 7 seed, which would set it up for a first round matchup against these Warriors. The Jazz would love to win and keep moving up to avoid the defending champions.
Steph Curry is dealing with a sprained ankle but has been cleared to practice fully, which could have him back for this game. Klay Thompson has a fractured thumb and seems unlikely to be back this quickly. Kevin Durant is similarly expected to sit with sore ribs, while Draymond Green recently suffered a midsection contusion which has also sidelined him.
Utah Jazz vs. Golden State Warriors Free Picks
The return of Curry would be big, but Durant and Thompson are expected to be sidelined. If it is only Curry back on the court, the Jazz defense will be able to key on him. While injury statuses could change things, the feeling now is that Golden State will be severely short-handed again, which will give the Jazz the room to pull the upset.
Utah Jazz vs. Golden State Warriors ATS Pick: Jazz on the moneyline
Utah Jazz vs. Golden State Warriors Score Prediction: Jazz 102, Warriors 99
