BETCRIS NBA Finals betting odds NBA Cleveland Cavaliers

The NBA Finals are featured in NBA Games of the Week, as the Golden State Warriors visit the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 on Friday, June 9th in a game that can be seen on ABC. The Warriors completely dominated the Cavaliers in the first two games in Oakland but the Cavaliers are a different team in Cleveland and they should play better in front of their home fans. Let’s look at Game 4 of the NBA Finals and predictions.

Warriors vs. Cavaliers ATS Picks

This year’s NBA Playoffs has been the worst in recent memory with very few competitive games. That has not changed in the NBA Finals, as the Warriors routed the Cavaliers in the first two games in Oakland. The Cavaliers are not going to win this series unless there is a major injury for Golden State because Cleveland doesn’t play defense. Golden State is not thought of as a defensive team but they play far better defense than Cleveland does and the Warriors also have the better offense.

The Warriors were just 19-21-1 against the spread on the road during the regular season but they were 6-0 ATS on the road in the playoffs before this series began. The Cavaliers were 19-19-3 ATS at home during the regular season but that number is far better than their 17-24 AT on the road. Cleveland was just 2-4 against the spread at home in the playoffs before this series began.

Warriors vs. Cavaliers TV Coverage: ABC

The Warriors went into Game 3 unbeaten in this year’s playoffs with 14 straight wins. They had won 29 of their last 30 games overall. Cleveland simply has not been able to contain Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. The Cavaliers have gotten good play from their big three of LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving but the role players and bench players for Cleveland have done nothing. LeBron realizes that Golden State is a great team. "They are a high-powered offensive team," James said. "They can shoot the ball from the perimeter; they can get into the paint. They do everything exceptionally well, if not great."

Key Stat

As I said earlier, Cleveland doesn’t play good enough defense to beat Golden State in this series. The Cavaliers allowed 107.2 points per game during the regular season, which was 20th in the league. For a team to play that poorly on defense they have to compensate by having a great offense. Cleveland was 4th in the NBA in scoring at 110.3 points per game. That was fine against the weak opponents in the Eastern Conference but against Golden State it is not going to work. The Warriors led the league in offense at 115.9 points per game and they were 11th in points allowed at 104.3 per game.

The Cavaliers had taken six of the previous ten games in Cleveland against the Warriors before this series began with four of the last six going over the total.

Warriors vs. Cavaliers Free Picks

The Warriors are simply the better team on both sides of the ball and even on the road in Cleveland I expect them to get the win. I also think this will be another high scoring game, so I will take the Warriors and also play the game over the total.
