Following a hot start that featured two wins in their first two games the Arizona Hotshots have dropped three in a row to remind everyone why head coach Rick Neuheisel was considered a questionable choice as coach. Nobody questioned Steve Spurrier being named head coach of the Orlando Apollos and indeed they are the best team in the Alliance of American Football. The Salt Lake Stallions have the worst offense and defense in the Western Conference and will be hosting an offensively challenged Memphis Express team. The Western Conference co-leading San Antonio Commanders will take on the resurgent host Atlanta Legends. And the AAF weekend will finish up week 6 with the San Diego Fleet hosting the defensively stout Birmingham Iron. Let’s take a look at the AAF live betting slate for Week 6.

Memphis Express at Salt Lake Stallions, Saturday, March 16, 4 p.m. ET
This game opened at Salt Lake -8 with a total of 40.
The Express and Stallions will meet at Rice Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah with coverage on BR Live. Both teams are off to terrible starts with 1-4 records. Memphis ranks dead last in the AAF for total offense which should come as no surprise with Mike Singletary as head coach. What is surprising is that Salt Lake ranks sixth in the AAF for offense despite having the services of offensively minded Dennis Erickson as head man. What is most surprising about the Express is that they rank dead last in the AAF for total defense. Salt Lake looks like the best live betting choice in this one.
Arizona Hotshots at Orlando Apollos, Saturday, March 16, 8 p.m. ET
Orlando opened as a -9-point favorite with a total of 43.5.
NFL Network will be providing coverage of this matchup from Spectrum Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The Apollos are the hottest team in the league with a 5-0 record while the Shots have not been so hot with a record of 2-3. This game features two big name coaches form the college ranks with Rick Neuheisel of Arizona and Steve Spurrier of Orlando. While there will be considerable hype about the Apollos offense with Spurrier what may surprise gamblers is that they rank second in the AAF for total defense. Arizona’s three game losing streak has featured sloppy and undisciplined play with far too many mistakes. Orlando certainly rates the live betting advantage here.
San Antonio Commanders vs. Atlanta Legends, March 17, 4 p.m. ET
Atlanta opened as a -1.5-point favorite with a total of 40.5.
Georgia State Stadium in Atlanta is the venue for this matchup that can be seen on CBS Sports Network. San Antonio has been plucky and resilient with a record of 3-2 as the leader of the Western Conference. After a terrible 0-3 start the Legends have recovered with two wins in a row to get off the mat. San Antonio boasts the third ranked offense in the Alliance of American Football and will be going up against an Atlanta defense that has climbed to first overall in the Alliance. Atlanta has live betting momentum and makes for a good pick at home.
Birmingham Iron vs. San Diego Fleet, March 17, 8 p.m. ET
San Diego opened as a -6-point chalk with an over under of 36.
SDCCU Stadium will host the Iron and homestanding Fleet with NFL Network providing the coverage. Mad Mike Martz and his Fleet are 3-2 and tied with San Antonio for the lead of the Western Conference. After a hot 3-0 start based on strong defense, the Iron have lost two in a row and are also 3-2. Birmingham has allowed the fewest points in the AAF but their lackluster offense has been the culprit of a two-game losing streak. San Diego has won three of their last four. Birmingham’s lack of a reliable offense does not inspire much live betting confidence to rate a call in this matchup.
AAF Picks: Bet the Orlando Apollos, Salt Lake Stallions, Atlanta Legends, and San Diego Fleet.
