Last week the #19 Michigan Wolverines took out their frustrations after the Madison Massacre with an easy College football betting lines payout over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. And while that was enough to impress the pajama boys in the Michigan Propaganda Hype Machine gamblers are still having doubts.
After all, Rutgers is the ultimate “Bye with Benefits” opponent. This NCAAF week a much tougher and capable opponent will be taking the field at the Big House. The #14 Iowa Hawkeyes are rolling into Ann Arbor for one of the top games of the week. Let’s take a look at the Week 6 Wise Guy angles!
College Football Week 6 Wise Guy Picks & Betting Odds Analysis
#14 Iowa Hawkeyes vs Michigan Wolverines -5.5, Saturday, October 5th, Noon ET
Iowa is 4-0 straight up coming off a 48-3 home payout over Middle Tennessee. The Hawkeyes boast the nation’s third ranked scoring defense which will offer a supreme credibility test to the 81st ranked Michigan offense. Of great concern is that Iowa has failed to get the money in their last six as away dogs. Michigan has covered their last two times laying points at the Big House to Iowa.
Northwestern Wildcats vs Nebraska Cornhuskers -7, Saturday, October 5th, 4 p.m. ET
Nebraska was put in their place last week in a 48-7 national TV humiliation home loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes. The preseason hype about the Big Red making a playoff run has been exposed as a fraud. And a defense ranked 93rd in the country for points allowed does not deserve to be called “Black Shirt.” However, the Huskers are still 3-2 and will be facing a 1-3 Northwestern college football team that may not be able to expose the Nebraska defense. Northwestern ranks 126th for total offense and 128th for scoring. The Cats have covered all four of their visits to Lincoln and that includes three straight up wins. Furthermore, the Wildcats have paid in 13 of their last 15 as road dogs including last week at powerful Wisconsin.
Georgia Bulldogs -25 vs Tennessee Volunteers, Saturday, October 5th, 7 p.m. ET, ESPN
The 1-3 Tennessee Volunteers are making Vol fans miss Butch Jones just two years after they ran him out of town. Head coach Jeremy Pruitt is facing doubts about his ability to pull the program out of the ditch. An offense ranked 105th in the nation is not a promising sign against Georgia. UGA has paid in four of their last five as double-digit road chalks and realizes the need for “style points.” Tennessee has paid in only two of their last nine games as a pup at Neyland Stadium. #3 Georgia is 4-0 with the nation’s sixth ranked scoring defense.

Washington Huskies -14 vs Stanford Cardinal, Saturday, October 5th, 10:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
The 4-1 Washington Huskies are rampaging with a record of 4-1 both straight up and against the spread after last week’s 28-14 home payout over USC. U-Dub will be at a Stanford team that is in the midst of an alarming decline. The Cardinal is 2-3 straight up, 1-4 against the spread, and ranks 117th in the nation for total offense while ranking 89th for defense.
Week 6 Wise Guy College Football Best Bets
The Georgia Bulldogs completely outclass Tennessee with the college football betting lines. Tennessee lacks the offense to keep pace with UGA. Also factoring into this matchup is that Bulldog nation will be taking over Neyland Stadium. And in Ann Arbor look for Iowa’s road struggles to continue.
