The NFC East looks to be a two-team race this season between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. In the last four years, the winner of the NFC East has been either the Cowboys or the Eagles. The Cowboys are listed as the odds-on favorite to win the division at -115, while the Eagles are the second choice in the betting at odds at +112.
No one is giving the New York Giants or Washington Redskins much of a chance, as the Giants are listed at +1750, while the Redskins are +2400. Let’s look at NFC East odds and each of the four teams.

Dallas Cowboys -115
The Cowboys won five of their six games against other NFC East teams last season but still missed the playoffs. The one loss came to the Eagles in Week 16 and that cost Dallas the division title. Things are going to look much different in Dallas this season, as finally gone is Jason Garrett and incomes, Mike McCarthy. It will be interesting to see if McCarthy can get this team playing up to its potential. The Cowboys took wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in the NFL Draft so perhaps he can give quarterback Dak Prescott another option to go along with Amari Cooper. Dallas let tight end Jason Witten getaway, so they will need someone to step up and be the security blanket for Prescott. The defense might take a step back as they lost cornerback Byron Jones and safety Jeff Heath. It is unlikely that the additions of HaHa Clinton-Dix and Daryl Worley are going to be enough.
Philadelphia Eagles +112
The Eagles won the division last season and they are getting respect in the odds heading into this season, as they are right with the Cowboys for the top spot. The Eagles have Carson Wentz at quarterback, but Wentz is an injury waiting to happen. Philadelphia took Jalen Hurts in the NFL Draft, but it is hard to believe that Hurts is going to be a capable NFL backup. The team did add some weapons for Wentz, as they traded for Marquise Goodwin and they took Jalen Reagor in the NFL Draft. The Eagles already have the best tight end combination in the league in Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert. The defense could be improved, as Philadelphia added Javon Hargrave to help out Fletcher Cox in the middle. Philadelphia also upgraded the secondary getting Darius Slay.

New York Giants +1750
The Giants did very little in the off-season to improve, so it will be up to Daniel Jones to show he is a franchise quarterback if New York is going to be any better. The Giants have won more than six games just once in the last six years and it is hard to see them topping that number this season. They don’t look like a serious contender in 2020.
Washington Redskins +2400
The Redskins have Daniel Snyder as their owner and that means they are not likely to contend anytime soon. Snyder rarely makes good moves, so it will be interesting to see if the change to Ron Rivera at head coach will produce results. Rivera brought in Jack Del Rio as his defensive coordinator so perhaps the defense will be better. Del Rio is already off to a good start, as the team took Chase Young in the NFL Draft and Young could end up being Defensive Rookie of the Year. The problem for Washington is on offense, as they have very little on that side of the ball. Dwayne Haskins does not look like a franchise quarterback and there are very few weapons in the backfield or at the receiver position. The Redskins won just three games last season, so if they get to five or six wins this season it will be considered a success in Rivera’s first year.
