The Denver Broncos have taken the drama out of their side of things heading into the final preseason game, as coach Vance Joseph said his starters aren’t playing against the Arizona Cardinals. While the Cards are going to also rest their big names, there is one intriguing question remaining:
will Josh Rosen see the field?

Arizona’s rookie quarterback missed the third week of the preseason with an injured thumb and his status for this matchup is still undetermined. If Rosen plays it will certainly increase the Cardinals’ chances at winning since he was the No. 10 overall pick in the draft.
Arizona has gone 3-0 this preseason under new coach Steve Wilks and will be the favorites to win this game at home in NFL gambling.
This NFL football game between the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals will be held at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona at 10 p.m ET on Thursday, August 30th, 2018. The contest will be nationally televised on NFL Network.

The Cardinals are listed as three-point favorites to come away with the home win. They are getting about two-thirds of the action after a nice start to the exhibition season. The scoring total is listed at 35 points, as this contest could be sloppy with so many backups facing off in NFL betting lines.
Rosen was impressive last time out against the Saints, finishing 10-of-16 from the field for 107 yards and a touchdown. It was a good bounceback after struggling in his debut, though that was in part because of low snaps and poor protection. Rosen hit his throwing hand on a helmet during practice on the Monday before last week’s game against the Cowboys. He was listed as a game-time decision but did not see action. Check to see if there is anything cleared up regarding his status.
Starter Sam Bradford won’t play for the Cardinals, but veteran Mike Glennon and rookie undrafted free agent Charles Kanoff should hit the field. Kanoff has been solid in the preseason and could help tilt the game in the Cardinals’ direction if it is undecided late.
The Broncos will not play starter Case Keenum in this one. Chad Kelly has taken over the second-string quarterback duties with a strong preseason and will start this game for the Broncos. Former first-round pick Paxton Lynch has never put it together in his NFL career and has dropped to third string. He is expected to see action as well.
16. That’s the number of turnovers the Cardinals have forced in their three preseason game. Arizona picked up four apiece in its first two victories and then accumulated a ridiculous eight in last week’s win over the Cowboys.
Cornerback Patrick Peterson led the way with an interception and a forced fumble. Safety Budda Baker had an interception, defensive end Cap Capi had a strip-sack and recovery, safety Travell Dixon had an interception, linebacker Gerald Hodges had a forced fumble which safety Rudy Ford recovered, linebacker Dennis Gardeck had a fumble recovery and wide receiver Trent Sherfield fell on a fumble in the end zone off a muffed punt for a touchdown.
Some of the turnovers have been self-inflicted errors by the opponents, but if the Cardinals pick up multiple takeaways again in this one they should cruise to the win.

The Cardinals have low expectations when the regular season begins but are playing well now. They are at home and are motivated with a new coach. Denver will simply be going through the motions in this one and won’t be able to come away with a win or a cover of the spread in NFL odds.
NFL ATS Pick: Arizona Cardinals 15, Denver Broncos 11
