The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs are a slight favorite to win Super Bowl LV. Find the BEST NFL Football Super Bowl odds at Betcris. The Chiefs are listed at odds of +480, while the Baltimore Ravens are the second choice at odds of +550. Last year’s Super Bowl runner-up, the San Francisco 49ers, are the third choice at odds of +802.
The only other team listed at single-digit odds is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who have added Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski to upgrade their offense. Let’s look at Super Bowl LV odds, top contenders, dark horses and some live longshots.
Super Bowl LV Odds
There are five main contenders to win Super Bowl LV. They are the Chiefs, Ravens, 49ers, Bucs, and Saints. It should come as no surprise that the Chiefs and Ravens are the top two choices, as the Chiefs are the defending champs, while the Ravens had the best record in the league last season. The 49ers are also no surprise, as they were the Super Bowl runner-up.
The Bucs are the surprise in this category, as they were just 7-9 a year ago. It seems that everyone believes that the addition of Brady and Gronkowski will improve this team enough to be a serious contender in 2020. Whether that will be the case is debatable, but what is not in debate is that the media and the public are now in love with Tampa Bay and that there is no value in betting the Bucs to win the Super Bowl. The other top contender is New Orleans, who went 13-3 last season.
There are five teams with odds from 18-1 to 24-1. You can put each of these teams into the darkhorse category. The Cowboys went just 8-8 last season, but they have a new head coach in Mike McCarthy and a lot of optimism heading into this season. The Seahawks went 11-5 last season, but they seem overvalued at odds of 21-1 considering they did nothing in the off-season to improve. The Colts added Philip Rivers, but his best days are far behind him and Indianapolis also seems overvalued. The Bills went 10-6 last season but whether Josh Allen is a quarterback capable of leading a team to a Super Bowl seems doubtful. The Eagles are an interesting choice at odds of +2400. If they could ever keep quarterback Carson Wentz healthy they might be a team to watch.

I think there is more value in some of the live longshots than there is in the dark horses. The Packers went 13-3 last season, but they did seem to benefit from playing a weak schedule and Aaron Rodgers no longer is the best quarterback in the NFL. The Vikings went 10-6 and feature a stout defense, but many people wonder whether Kirk Cousins is a quarterback capable of leading a team to a Super Bowl. The Rams are getting no love from the oddsmakers, despite making the Super Bowl two years ago. The Rams slipped to 9-7 last season, but there is no reason they can’t bounce back this year. The Falcons are the other live longshot worth a look. They kept their coaching staff together and the team rallied late last season to win their last four games and this is a team that nearly won the Super Bowl a few years ago.
