Super Bowl LVI - Bengals vs Rams

The NFL Conference Championship games on Sunday didn't disappoint. There have been plenty of thrilling games in the NFL postseason. Yesterday was another in a series of three-point wins this postseason.

The Cincinnati Bengals led Kansas City by 21-3 at the end of the second quarter. However, they came back to win the game and outscore Kansas City by 21-3 during the remainder of regulation. They also extended the game into overtime.

After a decisive defensive stand, the Bengals won 27-24. The Bengals are now on their way to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1988. In overtime, rookie K Evan McPherson was the difference-maker. His 31-yard field goal was the deal-maker as he was 4-4 overall.

Cincinnati became the first team in the postseason to win back-to-back overtime games. They won their second consecutive win over the Chiefs. Cincinnati will be playing for the title against the Rams at home in Los Angeles, as they advance to the Super Bowl for the first time in 33 years.

The Los Angeles Rams defeated San Francisco 49ers for the first time since 2018. They advance to the Super Bowl by winning the NFC Championship game 20-17. Los Angeles overcame a 17-7 deficit in the fourth quarter to win the game.

The Rams held the 49ers scoreless until the end of the period and scored 13 points. After spending 12 seasons in Detroit with the Lions, QB Matthew Stafford will be playing in Los Angeles's championship game for the first time. He has lost three consecutive playoff games.

The Rams became the first team to simultaneously host an NFC Championship game and a Super Bowl at home. Last season, Tampa Bay won the title at their home stadium.

The Rams are now going to their fourth Super Bowl. They lost two straight to the New England Patriots in 2002 and 2019. They won Super Bowl 34 against the Tennessee Titans in 2000. They advanced to their first title game in 1980 where they were defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Super Bowl LVI will be played on February 13. It will be interesting for us to see if there is another 3-point win in the postseason. Joe Burrow has enjoyed a lot of success this season, but it is possible that his luck may be ending soon. At -190, the Rams are early favorites. But the focus is on the spread. It's not allowed to move if it doesn't.
