Colorado dispatched of the Calgary Flames in five games and was clearly the better team in doing so. The longer the series went on the more evident it was that the Avalanche were superior and that the seedings were virtually meaningless.

San Jose centers Logan Couture and Tomas Hertl each have six goals with two assists in the playoffs. Hertl scored the shorthanded overtime game winner at Vegas in game six.

Phillip Grubauer has posted a sparkling .939 save percentage in the playoffs for Colorado. San Jose’s Martin Jones has recovered from a poor start to stand at .904 for his playoff save percentage with clutch play when it mattered most against Vegas.
