Robert Whittaker -235 vs. Yoel Romero

Whittaker and Romero met in July of last year and it was Whittaker winning the interim UFC middleweight title by unanimous decision. Whittaker was later promoted to undisputed champion. Whittaker has not fought since, as he had a staph infection. Whittaker is 19-4 in his career and he is on an eight-fight winning streak, while Romero is 13-2 in his career and he has won nine of his last 10 fights.

Whittaker said recently to ESPN that Saturday’s fight is a toss-up. "He's a human specimen to begin with and he's one of the most athletic, explosive and talented humans on the planet. So every time I step in there with him it's 50/50." Romero landed 114 strikes last time, while Whittaker landed 94, but Whittaker had more power shots, with a 74-48 advantage.

UFC Picks

Whittaker won the first time these two met and he wasn’t even entirely healthy, as he fought with a knee injury. There is no reason to think anything will be different this time around. I will lay the price and take Whittaker to get the win.

Rafael dos Anjos -125 vs. Colby Covington

These two are fighting for the interim welterweight title. Dos Anjos is a former lightweight champion who has won three straight, while Covington has won his last five bouts. Dos Anjos is 28-9 in his career, while Covington is 13-1. Covington has been running his mouth leading up to this fight, which is not a surprise considering that is all he has done throughout his career. Covington has done more talking than actual fighting, as he only has two wins against ranked opponents. Dos Anjos has not let any of Covington’s talk bother him. “It’s OK and I’m not bothered by that talking,” dos Anjos said to the media. “You know, I don’t have to get mad and I have too much experience to fall for that stuff. But you know what? I get to punch him in the face and so when it’s just the two of us in there, then we’ll see what he has to say.”

UFC Picks

Dos Anjos has more experience than Covington and there is no question he has fought far tougher competition in his career than has Covington. Dos Anjos should be able to handle anything that Covington throws at him. I will take dos Anjos to get the win on Saturday night.
