2019 International Champions Cup soccer odds

The International Champions Cup is underway. Tottenham Hotspur are back to defend their title in the 12-team pseudo tournament that gives fans around the world a chance to see their stars up close and personal on another continent, and others are looking to win the ICC and emulate the success that Spurs had during the 2018-19 season. Arsenal and Fiorentina are already off to a good start with wins in their first match, and if one side picks up a win in their game this weekend, they will be in the driver’s seat for the trophy.

Manchester United PK and -0.5 vs. Inter Milan, O/U 2.5 and 3 in Kallang, Singapore

This is a great spot to back the underdog. You never know what you’re really getting in a preseason tournament, and long flights to a far-away location further muddy the waters.

There is a lot of optimism for Inter Milan this season. Antonio Conte is back in Italy, and Inter fans believe he is just the man to lead them back to contention in Serie A. This will be a chance for him to show off summer signing Valentino Lazaro, who came over from Hertha Berlin on a transfer at the start of the month.

Meanwhile, there is once again some unrest behind the scenes at Manchester United. Paul Pogba is rumored to want out of Old Trafford, and although he joined the team on the trip to Singapore, he may or may not play.

Soccer Sports Betting

Benfica -1.5 vs. Guadalajara Chivas, O/U 2.5 and 3 in Santa Clara, California

Guadalajara Chivas are seen as the weakest team in this competition. Liga MX doesn’t have the same quality as some of the other leagues represented in the ICC, and Guadalajara Chivas aren’t even one of the top club teams in Mexico. Fiorentina were very sloppy in their match with Chivas on Tuesday, but they still managed to get a 2-1 win.

The Portuguese giants are rebuilding a bit, but that is par for the course for Benfica. The club sold Joao Felix to Real Madrid for a king’s ransom this summer, yet this is a club that always reloads with talented academy players. Look for Haris Seferovic to net at least one goal after scoring 23 goals in 29 matches with Benfica last season.

Arsenal -0.5 vs. ACF Fiorentina, O/U 2.5 and 3 in Charlotte, North Carolina

Gunners’ fans are gritting their teeth after Arsenal largely struck out in the summer transfer window, so they are hoping some of their young players rise to the occasion. Eddie Nketiah had a nice winner to lift Arsenal over Bayern Munich, and Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli should get plenty of run here too.

Real Madrid PK and -0.5 vs. Bayern Munich, O/U 3 in Houston, Texas

It was a huge summer for Real Madrid. The star power is back after a middling performance by their high standards last season, and they spent 300 million Euros to establish themselves as titans once more. Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic are the two players fans most want to see, and the interplay between Hazard and Luka Modric should be something to watch throughout the year.

This game could be high scoring as Bayern have weapons like Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller up front, and it’s unlikely that Real Madrid shut them out.

Juventus PK and -0.5 vs. Tottenham Hotspur, O/U 2.5 and 3 in Kallang, Singapore

After making it all the way to the Champions League Final, Tottenham are finally active once more in the transfer market. Spurs wrestled away midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for 60 million Euros, and the club is eager to see him in action.

The big signing for The Old Lady this summer won’t be on display here, but he could take part in the rest of the International Champions Cup. Matthijs de Lift made his transfer from Ajax to Juventus complete early Thursday morning, so the young defender won’t be able to participate in this match.
