  • Betcris.com There are two goals for Chelsea over the last two months of the season. Finish in the top four and win the Europa League. Both of those goals have a primary aspect to them as well, qualifying for the Champions League. The Blues can qualify for the most prestigious competition in Europe by accomplishing either of those tasks, and that’s paramount to their hopes of staying relevant next year. With the transfer ban imposed on them buy the league, they are in danger of becoming an afterthought next year and need the Champions League to stay in the mix. That makes winning against Everton this weekend huge.   More

  • Betcris.com There might not be a full course of Premier League action this weekend, but there are some lovely a la carte options to partake in while the FA Cup Quarterfinals are underway this weekend. We have the usual tropes with teams battling to avoid relegation, clubs looking to hop others for spots at the top of the table and in the Champions League, and mid-table teams simply battling for placement. I’ve picked out three games I like a lot in terms of value this week, so come with me if you want to have some more quid for pints on St. Patrick’s Day.   More

  • Betcris.com Liverpool are desperate to pull back ahead of Manchester City in their bid to win the Premier League for the first time. The Reds were ahead of City for almost three months before a downturn in their play, particularly away from Anfield, led to them relinquishing the lead at the top of the table. However, they are just one point back and can retake the lead for the time being with City on cup duty against Fulham this week.   More

  • Betcris.com For once, English confidence may be a bit understated. The Premier League’s dominating performance in the Champions League has shown us just how strong the top tier of English football is this season. Four of the eight Champions League quarterfinalists hail from England, and no other league in Europe has placed more than one in the field. Only one of those teams will be in action due to the FA Cup Quarterfinals this week, but there are plenty of other things to watch for in this week’s five Premier League matches.   More

    Sunday Premier League Picks

    By Jonathan Willis

Betcris.com All three Sunday matches on Matchday 30 are bangers. Each match has at least one Big Six club involved, and there are real stakes in each game. When Chelsea hosts Wolverhampton, the Blues are out to make up ground on both Arsenal and Manchester United in order to crack into the top four. Chelsea are a point behind the Gunners and two points behind United, but they have a game in hand.   More

    Saturday Premier League Picks

    By Jonathan Willis

Betcris.com The bottom of the table has really thinned out over the last month or so. For a while, it looked like five or six teams would be constantly jockeying for position just ahead of one another, but it’s looking increasingly likely that either Southampton or Cardiff City will be joining Fulham and Huddersfield Town in Championship next season. Every other team in the Premier League is five points or more clear, and they have been trending in the right direction.   More

  • Betcris.com It’s time for some moving and some shaking in the Premier League standings. We are coming down the homestretch in terms of the season, and there is a lot up for grabs. Manchester City and Liverpool are neck and neck in the race to win the league, while Cardiff City are trying to avoid relegation and looking to catch the clubs in front of them. The race to finish in the top four has been especially lively too with just five points separating third place Tottenham from sixth place Chelsea.   More

  • Betcris.com A spot in the Champions League could very much hang in the balance when Arsenal hosts Manchester United this Premier League weekend. The two clubs are currently in fourth and fifth place in the table, but the difference between the two places is tens of millions of dollars. Manchester United are in fourth place with nine games left to play, but they are just one point ahead of Arsenal, and the Gunners have a slight goal differential advantage. This will be the third meeting between these two clubs this season, and Arsenal are looking to win for the first time.   More

  • Betcris.com Manchester City have a chance at pulling off the rare quadruple. City have already claimed one title with a win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, and they are in the running for three more. They are the favorites to win both the Premier League and the FA Cup, and they are among the favorites to win the Champions League. It’s incredibly difficult to continue to juggle a busy schedule though, and they must avoid being knocked off by upset-minded Watford this weekend.   More

  • Betcris.com There are just 10 games left in the Premier League campaign for all but two teams. Chelsea are one of those two teams with 11 games left to play, and they will be out to make the most of the game in hand. Currently, the Blues are sixth in the table, but they are just two points back of Manchester United and three points behind Arsenal. Chelsea are desperate to break into the top four in order to return to the Premier League, and they are fully aware they need all three points from Fulham on Sunday.   More

  • Betcris.com Two middle of the table teams will meet on Sunday afternoon when Watford hosts Leicester City. Both teams have been in the middle of the table for pretty much the entire season, and at this point all they are playing for is placement. There is no chance that either team can crack into the top six and earn a spot in Europe and no chance that either side will get relegated either. However, with a £2 million difference between each place in the table, this match is still important for clubs looking to make a splash next year.   More

  • Betcris.com Everton has not picked up a win in the Merseyside Derby since 2010. The Toffees have faced Liverpool 16 times since then, but every Premier League match has resulted in a Liverpool victory or a draw, and the Toffees are tired of playing second fiddle to their city rival. A win here would be huge. Although Everton wouldn’t necessarily be helped by the win, it would seriously ding Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League and give Toffees’ supporters some schadenfreude.   More

  • Betcris.com With just 10 games left in the Premier League campaign, the goal for many teams is survival. Newcastle United have taken a huge step forward in that regard with their play over the last month. The Magpies were slumming it in the bottom of the table for much of the season, but they have now opened up some space between themselves and the drop. Newcastle are six points ahead of 18th place Cardiff City and would love to move up even further with a win over West Ham United this week.   More

  • Betcris.com It’s funny how quickly things can change in the Premier League. If Tottenham Hotspur don’t turn it around soon, the club is in danger of falling out of the top four. Less than a week ago, Spurs fans were holding out hope that they could find a way to catch Liverpool and Manchester City and challenge for the Premier League title, but even manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that those hopes have been lost after two losses in five days. Now, the goal is to stop the bleeding against a surging Arsenal side.   More

EPL - Chelsea FC vs Tottenham Hotspur

    By Jonathan Willis

Betcris.com What was once a promising first season under new manager Maurizio Sarri has gone by the wayside, and the Italian is unlikely to make it through his first year with Chelsea. Over the last few weeks, there have been rumblings regarding players’ discontent with his philosophy, and those came to a head on Sunday against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup Final. Sarri and Kepa openly clashed when the manager looked to replace his goalkeeper with backup Willy Caballero, and the fallout after the loss in penalties has been immense. It would not even be a real surprise if Sarri was sacked in the next couple days, leaving a caretaker in charge of the club coming into its match with Tottenham Hotspur.   More

  • Betcris.com Newcastle United and Burnley FC are both likely to be safe from the drop, but both clubs can do themselves a huge favor when they meet on Tuesday's Premier League match. The Magpies come into this game just one point ahead of Southampton with 25 points, while the Clarets are two points ahead of them and are sitting on 27 points. A win would distance either side from the bottom three while pushing their opponent a little closer to the edge.   More

  • Betcris.com Liverpool are just 12 games away from the first Premier League title in club history, but they have little room for error. The Reds have squandered away most of their lead on Manchester City, and they are level at 65 points with Liverpool having a game in hand on the Citizens. Dropping a match would put them level on points but leave them behind as City have the head-to-head tiebreaker and a much better goal differential, so not dropping any points is huge the rest of the way. Liverpool know the challenge at hand when they travel to face Manchester United on Sunday.   More

  • Betcris.com Two teams trending in opposite directions will face off in NBC’s Premier League Match of the Week this Saturday when surging Crystal Palace travels to face slumping Leicester City. Despite the recent form of these two clubs, Leicester are five points ahead of Palace in the table and are moderate favorites coming into this tilt. However, recent history shows that the Glaziers are not to be underestimated in this spot.   More

  • Betcris.com It looks like Burnley might finally be safe. The Clarets have been in the bottom of the table of the Premier League for most of the season, but they have risen to 15th and now have other teams between them and the drop. It’s been a difficult time for the club after coming in seventh and qualifying for European play, and staying up will be met with a sigh of relief. They know they will have a hard time getting points against red hot Tottenham Hotspur this week though, and any kind of result will be met with celebration.   More

West Ham United vs Fulham Preview

    By Jonathan Willis

Betcris.com Fulham’s hopes of staying afloat in the Premier League are starting to fade. The Cottagers are in a precarious spot with just a dozen games left in the season. They are in second-to-last place in the table with only 17 points, and they are eight points behind currently safe Newcastle United and Cardiff City. Fulham need to start picking up wins if they are going to make it another year in the EPL, so they will be gunning for all three points against injury-ravaged West Ham United this Friday.   More

  • Betcris.com You have to be pretty optimistic if you are a Newcastle United fan right now. While the club is by no means in the clear, they seem the least likely club near the bottom of the table to be relegated. The Magpies did not look great for the first four months of the season as they struggled to make things happen on the attack, but they have played much better over the last two months and are currently in 15th place in the Premier League table. Newcastle are two points up on Cardiff City, and they have a goal differential advantage over Southampton and Burnley, and they are out to further that by getting a result against the Wolverhampton Wanderers this week.   More

  • Betcris.com After being behind as many as seven points, Manchester City are level on points with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League standings once again. Even though they are not quite level overall with Liverpool holding a game in hand on City, the Citizens have put some poor play in the rear view to get back to the top. Their time at the top may be short-lived though. City are hosting the first team to beat them when they take on Chelsea this week.   More

  • Betcris.com There’s one thing that Tottenham Hotspur and the late Rodney Dangerfield have in common, they get no respect. All the Premier League chatter has been about the duel between Liverpool and Manchester City for the top spot in the table, but Spurs are right there with those two teams. They are just two points behind Manchester City almost two-thirds of the way through the season, and they are also a scant five points back of Liverpool. With Liverpool floundering a bit and City having a tough test against Chelsea this week, a Spurs win over Leicester City could put them within three points of the lead.   More

  • Betcris.com Following a disastrous start to the Premier League season, Manchester United are suddenly in contention to reclaim a spot in the Champions League with a top four finish. The Red Devils were a mess under Jose Mourinho, and it looked like they were more likely to finish eighth or ninth than in the top four for much of the year. However, the hiring of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has unleashed this team, and United are in rare form once again. They are unbeaten in their last 10 games in all competitions and will be out to run that streak to 11 against Fulham.   More

  • Betcris.com Two teams at the bottom of the table are looking to further distance themselves from the drop zone this week when Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion square off in the Premier League Game of the Week, at least in the United States. Burnley are just clear of relegation at this point, sitting just two points ahead of Cardiff City. Meanwhile, Brighton are at the head of the pack of the teams that are currently fighting to stay alive, but they are just three points ahead of Burnley and a loss could send them back two or three places in the table.   More
