Matchday 4 Premier League Soccer Betting Odds

It’s been an interesting start to the Premier League season. Only one team has an unblemished record (Liverpool), only one team has lost all three of its matches (Watford), and a whopping 10 teams have 1-1-1 records. That means there is plenty of room for movement this week for most clubs.

Newcastle United PK -129 vs. Watford FC, O/U 2 and 2.5

These teams might be battling to avoid relegation all season. The Hornets still have the talent to turn things around, but three losses to start the year is certainly not ideal. However, Newcastle look to be in even worse shape as no one seems to believe in this soccer team after a win against Tottenham last week. The Magpies have looked dismal and lacked creativity, so Watford won’t have many better chances to pick up a result on the road.

Leicester City -0.5 and -1 vs. AFC Bournemouth, O/U 3

It hasn’t been a great start to the season for Bournemouth, and it may get worse before it gets better for the Cherries. Leicester City have been the most impressive club outside the Big Six, and the decision to hire Brendan Rodgers seems to be paying dividends for the Foxes.

Burnley FC +1.5 vs. Liverpool FC, O/U 3

The Champions League kings are off to a great start to the season, but they must avoid a potential road pitfall this weekend. Burnley have looked sharp early on, bringing back memories of their fantastic 2017-18 campaign. The Clarets came within a whisker of securing three points on the road against Wolverhampton last week.

Southampton FC +0.5 vs. Manchester United, O/U 2.5

The Red Devils might be the third-best team in the Premier League. Manchester United have already hammered Chelsea this season and the club was incredibly unlucky to lose at home to Crystal Palace last week. They controlled the run of play throughout the match, but a David De Gea error cost them a result.

Manchester City -2.5 and -3 vs. Brighton & Hove Albion, O/U 3.5 and 4

These odds are just laughable at this point. Oddsmakers can’t seem to make the EPL betting odds on Manchester City high enough when they are playing clubs other then Liverpool, and the Citizens are still a heavy odds-on favorite to win the Premier League even though they are already two points behind the Reds.

Chelsea FC -1.5 vs. Sheffield United, O/U 2.5 and 3

Mason Mount might be the real deal. He had another splendid outing for Chelsea in a 3-2 win over Norwich City last week. The Blues have rallied after being crushed, and Frank Lampard is looking to finally notch his first win as a manager at Stamford Bridge.

Crystal Palace PK and -0.5 vs. Aston Villa, O/U 2.5

This Palace team needs more from Wilfried Zaha if they are to survive. The Glaziers have been fortunate to earn the results they have given their play, and they have no other real options up top besides Zaha. Villa are going to think they have a chance at three points entering this match.

West Ham United -0.5 vs. Norwich City, O/U 3 and 3.5

Norwich are going to be one of the most fun teams to watch this year. The Canaries have been unwavering in their preferred style of play, and Teemu Pukki has proven that he can score in the Premier League as much as he did in Championship. Their totals will likely be 3 or more the rest of the campaign as long as Pukki is on the pitch.

Everton FC PK and -0.5 vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers, O/U 2 and 2.5

The rigors of Europa League qualifying have led to some marginal results from Wolves in the Premier League, but Wolverhampton have yet to lose a match. Instead, they have settled for three draws. It’s unlikely they break that on the road at Goodison Park as Wolves will be playing their final Europa League playoff game on Thursday.

Arsenal FC PK and -0.5 vs. Tottenham Hotspur, O/U 3

These two London rivals are looking to bounce back after losses last week, but Spurs will probably be without new signing Tanguy Ndombele. This one figures to have plenty of scoring chances as both clubs have prioritized scoring and haven’t looked great in the back through three games.
