2019-20 Europa League Betting Odds

England is home to three of the five best clubs in the Europa League according to the oddsmakers, as Arsenal, Manchester United, and the Wolverhampton Wanderers are all among the favorites to win the competition per the Europa League betting odds. However, while Arsenal have proven to be a worthy favorite, that hasn’t been the case for both Manchester United and Wolves. All three clubs should make it into the knockout rounds, but things could get dicey after that rather quickly for the latter two clubs.

Arsenal have performed better than any other team in the Europa League through their first two matches. The Gunners have crushed their two toughest foes, easily dispatching of Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 in Germany in their first test and cruising to a 4-0 win over Standard Liege at the Emirates.

Unai Emery has been able to play some of his reserves for these matches to keep his starters healthy for the Premier League campaign. That’s going to help the team as the long grind of the season continues. The Gunners made it to the Europa League Final last year, losing to London rival Chelsea in Baku, and they are out to grab some silverware this time around.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made a name for himself by turning around Manchester United last season, but this campaign is off to a rough start. Manchester United are 2-3-2 in the Premier League, and they have not performed any better in the Europa League. They could only muster a 1-0 win at home over Astana in their first match in Group L, and the Red Devils played to a scoreless draw with AZ Alkmaar.

After hammering Chelsea 4-0 in their Premier League opener, Manchester United’s attack has disappeared. The Red Devils have not scored multiple goals in a game since that win, and that streak is now at nine games. They have only played one top tier club during this stretch too in Arsenal, so that’s not a good sign about the state of things at Old Trafford.

The most decorated club in the history of the Europa League is among the favorites too. Sevilla have won five titles, and they have won them all in the past 13 years. The Spanish club became the second team to win consecutive titles when they won the competition in 2006 and 2007, and Sevilla were the first to win three straight Europa League crowns in 2014, 2015, and 2016.

Sevilla are in a group they should have no problem winning, and they have already grabbed the upper hand. They beat Azerbaijani side Qarabag 3-0 in Baku, and Sevilla knocked off Cyprus’ APOEL 1-0 at home. The other soccer team in this group is Luxembourg’s F91 Dudelange, but they are no match for Sevilla.

Roma made it to the Europa League Final once. They lost to Serie A rival Inter Milan in 1991, and they haven’t been back to the final game of this tournament yet. Roma are hoping to make it there this time around with Edin Dzeko and some players on loan from Premier League clubs, and they have already defeated Istanbul Basaksehir and drawn with Wolfsberger AC.

There’s no reason for the odds on Wolves to be this low. Wolverhampton have won just one match in the Premier League this season, and they are currently outside the top two in Group K after a loss to Braga. That’s not a good sign for a team with the fourth-lowest odds on the board.
