Spanish clubs have dominated the Europa League over the last 13 years. Eight of the last 13 Europa League champions have come from Spain, with Atletico Madrid winning three titles and Sevilla winning five titles. There are four Spanish teams involved in this year’s knockout round of the Europa League, so there is a very good chance they claim the title once again. However, big clubs like Inter Milan, Napoli, Arsenal, and Chelsea will look to win this title for themselves.
- Lazio Roma +142
- Sevilla FC +197
- Draw +222
- Over/Under 2 and 2.5
This is the best match of the Europa League Round of 32. Sevilla have dominated this competition in recent years, and they are currently in fourth place in La Liga. They have a very dynamic offense with Wissam Ben Yedder, Ever Banega, and Andre Silva leading the way, and the defense is far better than it was last year when they slumped to seventh in the table. Lazio aren’t an easy draw for Sevilla. Although Lazio lost three times in the group stage, Sevilla lost road games to Krasnodar and Standard Liege, and the Roman club has far more support, and talent, than either of those two teams.
- FC Bate Borisov +549
- Arsenal FC -216
- Draw +347
- Over/Under 2.5 and 3
No major club likes traveling across the continent to a far-flung location, but that’s life in the Europa League. Arsenal had no problem in the group stage of the Europa League, and they are looking to keep it rolling here. The Gunners are finally getting somewhat healthy after injuries to a half-dozen players ravaged their depth, and they will be out to get a road win to make their job that much easier in the second leg next week. BATE Borisov have dominated Belarusian football since the fall of the Iron Curtain, but they have never been able to perform too well in international play. The club has never made it past the Round of 32, and it’s hard to see them getting through now.
Rapid Vienna vs Inter Milan
- SK Rapid Vienna +449
- Inter Milan -163
- Draw +288
- Over/Under 2.5
Inter Milan have only themselves to blame for being in the Europa League. Although they were drawn into a tough group with both Barcelona and Tottenham in Group B, they were able to pick up results at home against both clubs and needed only to win against lowly PSV Eindhoven at home to advance. Instead, Inter laid an egg against PSV, allowing Tottenham to go through on goal differential. They had to have been disappointed with the result, but Inter have recovered well in league play. Inter are currently sitting in third place in the table, and they will be facing a seven-loss Rapid Vienna team that has not been too impressive domestically. However, they did not allow a goal at home in three Europa League group stage games.
- Club Brugge +210
- FC Salzburg +125
- Draw +242
- Over/Under 2.5

Red Bull Salzburg have been a monster this season. They are 15-3-0 in Austrian Bundesliga play, and they look set to coast to another domestic title. Incredibly, Salzburg have been even better in the Europa League than they have been in domestic play. They went 6-0 in the group stage with 17 goals, and they scored 10 of those goals on the road. Club Brugge will look to win through their defense. They allowed five goals in the Champions League Group Stage, and they were able to pick up points by playing to a goalless draw against juggernauts Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

I see Arsenal smashing BATE and think Salzburg will get the better of Brugge on the road. In the other two matches, I’ll take my chances with the home team as I think Sevilla and Inter Milan both may struggle.
