2018 FIFA World Cup Group Stage Fixtures

GROUP A: Russia - Saudi Arabia - Egypt - Uruguay
Match Date / Time (Local Time) Venue
Russia vs Saudi Arabia June, 14th / 18:00 Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow
Egypt vs Uruguay June, 15th / 17:00 Central Stadium, Yekaterinburg
Russia vs Egypt June, 19th / 21:00 Krestovsky Stadium, Saint Petersburg
Uruguay vs Saudi Arabia June, 20th / 18:00 Rostov Arena, Rostov-on-Don
Uruguay vs Russia June, 25th / 18:00 Cosmos Arena, Samara
Saudi Arabia vs Egypt June, 25th / 17:00 Volgograd Arena, Volgograd

Russia: The Russians are arguably the second-weakest hosts of this tournament ever behind South Africa in 2010.

Saudi Arabia: The Saudis were last in the World Cup in 2006, but they were able to get back when they survived a three-team scramble in Group B in AFC.

Egypt: Arguably Africa's best team, this Egypt side has been working towards this World Cup for two full cycles.

Uruguay: For our money, Uruguay was always the second-best team in CONMEBOL behind Brazil, though it took a result on the last day of qualifying just to nail down a spot in the tournament.

GROUP B: Portugal - Spain - Morocco - Iran
Match Date / Time (Local Time) Venue
Morocco vs Iran June, 15th / 18:00 Krestovsky Stadium, Saint Petersburg
Portugal vs Spain June, 15th / 21:00 Fisht Olympic Stadium, Sochi
Portugal vs Morocco June, 20th / 15:00 Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow
Iran vs Spain June, 20th / 21:00 Kazan Arena, Kazan
Iran vs Portugal June, 25th / 21:00 Mordovia Arena, Saransk
Spain vs Morocco June, 25th / 20:00 Kaliningrad Stadium, Kaliningrad

Portugal: Cristiano Ronaldo finally delivered a major tournament triumph in the Euros in 2016. He's already going down as the greatest Portuguese player ever, but he would turn into a deity if he could deliver a World Cup right behind it.

Spain: La Roja fell off the planet for a while after winning two straight Euros and a World Cup. They'll remember what happened in 2014 when they were eliminated after just two matches and will hope to turn that around in 2018.

Morocco: Get ready to see Morocco in the World Cup for the first time in 20 years. Morocco won Africa Group C and head to their fifth World Cup.

Iran: Iran has never fared well in the World Cup in the past, failing to get out of the group stage of this competition in all four of its appearances.

GROUP C: France - Australia - Peru - Denmark
Match Date / Time (Local Time) Venue
France vs Australia June, 16th / 13:00 Kazan Arena, Kazan
Peru vs Denmark June, 16th / 19:00 Mordovia Arena, Saransk
France vs Peru June, 21st / 17:00 Central Stadium, Yekaterinburg
Denmark vs Australia June, 21st / 19:00 Cosmos Arena, Samara
Denmark vs France June, 26th / 17:00 Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow
Australia vs Peru June, 26th / 17:00 Fisht Olympic Stadium, Sochi

France: After coming up just short in Euro 2016, France joins Germany is one of the early co-favorites to win the World Cup.

Australia: The Socceroos finished as the third-best team in the Asia group and then won the intercontinental playoff against Honduras. This will be the fifth all-time appearance at the World Cup for Australia.

Peru: It has been a long drought for Peru in the World Cup, as they have not been involved since 1982. Peru ended their 36-year drought by finishing fifth in South American qualifying and beating New Zealand in the intercontinental playoff.

Denmark: Denmark is back in the World Cup after missing out four years ago. They won a playoff against Ireland to get the second spot in Europe’s Group E.

GROUP D: Argentina - Iceland - Croatia - Nigeria
Match Date / Time (Local Time) Venue
Argentina vs Iceland June, 16th / 16:00 Otkrytiye Arena, Moscow
Croatia vs Nigeria June, 16th / 21:00 Kaliningrad Stadium, Kaliningrad
Argentina vs Croatia June, 21st / 21:00 Nizhny Novgorod Stadium, Nizhny Novgorod
Nigeria vs Iceland June, 22nd / 18:00 Volgograd Arena, Volgograd
Nigeria vs Argentina June, 26th / 21:00 Krestovsky Stadium, Saint Petersburg
Iceland vs Croatia June, 26th / 21:00 Rostov Arena, Rostov-on-Don

Argentina: Lionel Messi is tired of hearing how Argentina has never won a major international tournament while he has been a member of the team. This might be his last shot to change that narrative.

Iceland: Iceland stepped onto the international scene when it made a nice run into the quarterfinals of the Euros in 2016. Now, the tiny nation has secured its first berth into the World Cup in its history.

Croatia: An interesting darkhorse for the 2018 World Cup is Croatia, who won a playoff against Greece to qualify as the second team from Group I. This will be the second straight World Cup appearance for Croatia.

Nigeria: The Super Eagles are the biggest favorites out of Africa – not that that's saying much with a price of 125 to 1 to win the tournament.

GROUP E: Brazil - Switzerland - Costa Rica - Serbia
Match Date / Time (Local Time) Venue
Costa Rica vs Serbia June, 17th / 16:00 Cosmos Arena, Samara
Brazil vs Switzerland June, 17th / 21:00 Rostov Arena, Rostov-on-Don
Brazil vs Costa Rica June, 22nd / 15:00 Krestovsky Stadium, Saint Petersburg
Serbia vs Switzerland June, 22nd / 20:00 Kaliningrad Stadium, Kaliningrad
Serbia vs Brazil June, 27th / 21:00 Otkrytiye Arena, Moscow
Switzerland vs Costa Rica June, 27th / 21:00 Nizhny Novgorod Stadium, Nizhny Novgorod

Brazil: There was only one team that went into the last day of South American qualifying with a spot wrapped up in the World Cup. This Brazilian team is rightfully going to be one of the bigger favorites to win this tournament for a record sixth time.

Switzerland: Switzerland has been a regular at the World Cup recently, as they will be making their fourth straight appearance in Russia. Switzerland won a playoff against Northern Ireland to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

Costa Rica: Los Ticos were clearly second-best in CONCACAF this year, and their six points over the United States helped keep the Stars and Stripes out of the World Cup.

Serbia: Group D was the strangest of all of the UEFA World Cup qualifying groups. In spite of the fact that Serbia only drew at home against second-place Ireland and third-place Wales, it still managed to go through as the group's winner.

GROUP F: Germany - Mexico - Sweden - Korea Republic
Match Date / Time (Local Time) Venue
Germany vs Mexico June, 17th / 18:00 Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow
Sweden vs Korea Republic June, 18th / 15:00 Nizhny Novgorod Stadium, Nizhny Novgorod
Germany vs Sweden June, 23rd / 18:00 Fisht Olympic Stadium, Sochi
Korea Republic vs Mexico June, 23rd / 21:00 Rostov Arena, Rostov-on-Don
Korea Republic vs Germany June, 27th / 17:00 Kazan Arena, Kazan
Mexico vs Sweden June, 27th / 19:00 Central Stadium, Yekaterinburg

Germany: It feels like a long time ago that Germany won the World Cup, but we have to remember that this team arrived four years early when it won this tournament in Brazil in 2014.

Mexico: Juan Carlos Osorio knows that its semifinals or bust for Mexico. Anything less, and this will surely be his last tournament in charge of El Tri.

Sweden: Sweden surprised a lot of people and eliminated Italy in a playoff to advance to the 2018 World Cup. It is the first time for Sweden in the World Cup since 2006.

Korea Republic: You probably wouldn't know it, but South Korea is set to play in its ninth consecutive World Cup.

GROUP G: Belgium - Panama - Tunisia - England
Match Date / Time (Local Time) Venue
Belgium vs Panama June, 18th / 18:00 Fisht Olympic Stadium, Sochi
Tunisia vs England June, 18th / 21:00 Volgograd Arena, Volgograd
Belgium vs Tunisia June, 23rd / 15:00 Otkrytiye Arena, Moscow
England vs Panama June, 24th / 15:00 Nizhny Novgorod Stadium, Nizhny Novgorod
England vs Belgium June, 28th / 20:00 Kaliningrad Stadium, Kaliningrad
Panama vs Tunisia June, 28th / 21:00 Mordovia Arena, Saransk

Belgium: Belgium has been known as one of the up and coming teams in the world. That said, its end results haven't been exemplary lately. After storming through Group H in UEFA qualifying, the Belgians will have high hopes in Russia.

Panama: Arguably the least-likely of all of the World Cup qualifiers, the Panamanians came out of nowhere to stun the United States on the last day of CONCACAF qualifying to snare their first ever World Cup bid.

Tunisia: Tunisia will be making their return to the World Cup after a 12-year drought. They won Africa Group A and will be making their fifth overall appearance at the World Cup.

England: The Brits are just bracing for another disaster. They've been knocked out of either the Euros or the World Cup six times via penalty shootouts since 1990.

GROUP H: Poland - Senegal - Colombia - Japan
Match Date / Time (Local Time) Venue
Poland vs Senegal June, 19th / 15:00 Otkrytiye Arena, Moscow
Colombia vs Japan June, 19th / 18:00 Mordovia Arena, Saransk
Japan vs Senegal June, 24th / 20:00 Central Stadium, Yekaterinburg
Poland vs Colombia June, 24th / 21:00 Kazan Arena, Kazan
Japan vs Poland June, 28th / 17:00 Volgograd Arena, Volgograd
Senegal vs Colombia June, 28th / 18:00 Cosmos Arena, Samara

Poland: A perfect 5-0-0 record at home and three away victories propelled Poland into the World Cup through Group E in UEFA qualifying.

Senegal: Senegal will be playing in the World Cup for the first time in 16 years, as they won Africa Group D. It will be the second overall appearance for Senegal in the World Cup.

Colombia: The Colombians barely snuck through CONMEBOL qualifying, and they don't look anything like a team capable of winning the World Cup right now.

Japan: The Samurai Blue won an intense Group B in Asian qualifying thanks to four straight wins at home against other potential qualifiers.
