English FA Cup Betting Odds

Bet English FA Cup odds at Betcris. The oldest national soccer competition in the world was founded all the way back in 1871, and this event is steeped in tradition. There are 763 teams in the English FA Cup.

The current champion is Manchester City (2018–19), with its 6th title, making them the most successful team in the cup. The FA Cup Semifinals will take place on July 18 and 19 with the FA Cup Final scheduled for August 1. All three of the matches will be played at Wembley Stadium in London.

The pageantry of the FA Cup has excited fans for generations. Every club team in English soccer is eligible to participate in this event, giving fans of even the most moribund clubs a flicker of hope that their team can make a deep run in this competition. Over 700 teams took part in the 2019-20 FA Cup, and while the top teams have a lot of advantages, this is an event that even an amateur team can win.

Why bet on the English FA Cup?

The two most successful teams in this competition are two of the semifinalists. Arsenal has won the FA Cup more often than any other team with the Gunners’ first victory coming in 1930 and their last win coming in 2017. They have been to the FA Cup Final a total of 20 times in their history, and Arsenal has won their last six FA Cup Finals. This club has claimed six FA Cup titles in the 21st Century, more than the total silverware in this competition for all but a handful of English clubs.

Manchester United are just behind Arsenal in terms of FA Cup success. The Red Devils have won this competition 12 times in their history, and they also have 20 appearances in the FA Cup Finals. A loss to Chelsea in the 2017-18 FA Cup Final kept Manchester United from tying Arsenal as the most decorated team in the long history of this event.

Chelsea is tied with Tottenham Hotspur as the third-most successful team in the English FA Cup with eight titles, but the Blues have condensed their victories in a considerably shorter period of time. They won their first FA Cup title in 1970, and Chelsea has gone on to topple the field five times in this competition in the 21st Century.

Of the four teams left in the 2019-20 FA Cup, Manchester City has been the least successful historically. The Citizens have only won this competition six times, but they have won this event twice in the last decade. However, they are the favorites per the soccer futures odds after winning consecutive Premier League titles in 2017-18 and 2018-19, and they are the defending champions to boot.

Interestingly enough, the four teams remaining in the 2019-20 FA Cup were the four most recent winners of this competition. Manchester United knocked off Crystal Palace 2-1 in the 2015-16 FA Cup Final, and Arsenal defeated Chelsea 2-1 in 2016-17. Chelsea avenged the previous year’s loss with a 1-0 win over Manchester United in 2017-18, and Manchester City obliterated Watford 6-0 in last year’s final.

Saturday, July 18

Manchester City -1.5 vs. Arsenal, O/U 3 and 3.5

The Citizens are heavy favorites given their potential and what we have seen from Arsenal this season. The Gunners are likely to miss out on European football altogether next season with just 12 wins in 35 matches in Premier League play, and they have been obliterated by the Citizens over the last three years. Manchester City has won their last seven matches against Arsenal by a cumulative score of 20-2.

Sunday, July 19

Manchester United PK and -0.5 vs. Chelsea, O/U 2.5

These teams are duking it out with Leicester City for the last two spots in next year’s Champions League, but they will put their league quibbles aside this weekend to determine who goes to Wembley on August 1. Manchester United are riding an 18-match unbeaten streak, while Chelsea has looked red hot too as Christian Pulisic is starting to fulfill his promise.
